Born on Fort Riley while his father recovered from combat wounds in Vietnam. Grew up understanding that service comes with sacrifice — and that institutions matter.

Eagle Scout. Army JAG officer. Built security businesses from the ground up. Every role demanded accountability and results — not excuses.

Now a father of three in Virginia's 6th District, Hugh is running to bring serious, pragmatic leadership back to Congress — because this district deserves better.

Hugh's path to public service started in a military family. His father was seriously wounded in Vietnam. His mother was working for American Airlines on September 11th — for hours, the family didn't know if she was safe. Those experiences taught him that national security, infrastructure, and institutions aren't abstractions. They determine whether families make it home.
After earning his Eagle Scout rank and competing in track and cross country in college, Hugh attended the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia — choosing to live in and understand a rural community. He served as Student Bar Association President, then became an Army Judge Advocate, advising commanders and handling serious cases where decisions carried immediate and lasting consequences. In the private sector, he helped build and integrate multiple security businesses into a national platform, managing growth, compliance, payroll, and healthcare costs — the same pressures families and small businesses face every day.
"This campaign is about restoring seriousness to governing and delivering results people can actually feel."

This district isn't ideological — it's consequential. Voters here care less about political theater and more about whether a candidate is capable, grounded, and credible under pressure. Hugh is running to win the general and govern effectively afterward.
As a father of three, Hugh knows what's at stake. He volunteers as a Cubmaster, coaches his kids, and sees every day how government decisions shape the lives of Virginia families.
From advising commanders as a JAG officer to building businesses where failure carried real cost — Hugh has spent his career in roles where accountability wasn't optional. He's running to bring that same seriousness to Congress.
